P&G Retains Rights To Sassoon Name

Procter & Gamble on Thursday settled its pending lawsuit with Vidal Sassoon, heading off a planned October trial in federal court. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed; however, P&G still owns the rights to the Vidal Sassoon name, which Sassoon had wanted back. Sassoon filed suit against P&G in April 2003, claiming it breached an exclusive license to distribute products bearing his name.
