BOSTON Independent public relations shop Pan Communications in recent weeks has added a mix of high-tech and consumer products clients, the agency said.

Further diversifying its roster, Pan will work for the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society, a Wellesley, Mass., nonprofit group that supports psychiatric physicians statewide.

Among the other new additions for Andover, Mass.-based Pan are Bus-Tech and OpenLink, both in Burlington, Mass.; ClearFlow in Shaker Heights, Ohio; GenuOne in Boston; InteQ in Bedford, Mass.; Memento in Concord, Mass.; Universal Map in Lansing, Mich.; and Zix Corp. of Dallas.

The wins are important because they underscore Pan's ability to attract assignments across a broad range of industries, said Phil Nardone, agency president. "We represent a wide range of clients ... and that has helped us to not only survive in this tough economy, but also to grow."
