Former Account Services Director Now Oversees Interactive
BOSTON–Clarke Goward is hunting for a new director of account services following the departure of the firm’s second in command, Mike Norton, who abandoned agency life for a communications post at Gillette & Co. earlier this month.
Norton, who also held the title of executive vice president, had been with the firm for 12 years and was a part owner. Terry Clarke, chairman of the Boston agency, confirmed that the shop bought out Norton’s minority stake, but declined to disclose what percentage of the company Norton had owned.
Norton earlier this month stepped into the newly created position of director of interactive and internal communication at Gillette.
