William Shatner appears to be done in by former Star Trek comrade Leonard Nimoy in a new 30-second spot for Priceline.com that breaks today from IPG’s Gotham in New York. The ad opens with Shatner, the longtime voice of Priceline, talking to actors portraying company execs, who tell him it is time to let him go. Shatner asks, “Who could possibly replace me?” Then Nimoy enters, saying, “Hey guys, hey Bill.” The spot touts a change in Priceline’s offering: Consumers now can pick their own flights, times and airlines, as well as search by price.
