Satellite offices of Interpublic Group agencies Mullen and Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos last week appointed creative directors.
Denzil Strickland was named creative director of Mullen/LHC, the new unit formed by the consolidation of Mullen and Long Haymes Carr.
Separately, Rob Bagot, a group creative director at GMO/Hill, Holliday, San Francisco, was promoted to executive vice president and creative director at the shop. Brian O'Neill remains vice chairman and chief creative officer, but Bagot will supervise daily creative work.
"With his ability to inspire and motivate the people he works with, Rob is a natural to lead the creative team," O'Neill said.
At Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Mullen/LHC, Strickland arrives after the unexpected dismissal of chief executive officer Steve Zades and creative director Mylene Pollock.
"It was important that we brought someone in who would make an immediate contribution, focusing the organizations on the future, [and] who would elevate the creative work and help integrate Mullen/LHC with Mullen," said Edward Boches, chief creative officer for Mullen and Mullen LHC.
Sources at Wenham, Mass.-based Mullen and Mullen/LHC said Strickland's first priority will be to integrate the shop's creative output with the new business and account planning work being done by Brad Bennett and Neil Saunders.
