The self-styled “strategic tigers” at Montgomery Zukerman Davis in Indianapolis saw their agency mantra–“Become strategic or die”– embraced by a citywide proclamation last week.
Endorsing the importance of strategy in approaching the future, maximizing human potential and making Indianapolis a great city, mayor Stephen Goldsmith declared Sept. 8 “Strategy Day.”
The agency appreciated it. “It’s good to show people that what you’re doing counts,” said Peter Pitts, MZD’s director of strategic marketing.
Pitts and MZD chairman Bob Montgomery co-authored the book Become Strategic or Die, which combines the principles of strategic business with Sun Tzu’s classic Chinese text The Art of War.
