Denzil Strickland has been named creative director of Mullen/LHC, the new unit formed by the IPG-mandated consolidation of Mullen and Long Haymes Carr last month.

Strickland, 47, arrives at an agency still coming to terms with the unexpected dismissal of chief executive officer Steve Zades and creative director Mylene Pollock.

“It was important that we brought someone in who would make an immediate contribution in terms of focusing the organizations on the future, who would elevate the creative work and help integrate Mullen/LHC with Mul-len,” said Edward Boches, chief creative officer for both entities.
