Castillo is the former president of Hispano Marketing & Advertising, also San Antonio, plus a past senior marketing manager at Fiesta Texas Theme Park in San Antonio. KJS Marketing Communications also hired account supervisor Joe Segovia, recently with Montemayor y Asociados of San Antonio, account coordinator Graciela Amaro-Hanna, office manager Eliseo Rios and production artist Rick Williamson.Jennifer Hedges was named senior district manager of statewide advertising sales for Computerworld magazine's Texas office. Hedges previously held sales positions with Communications Week, Computer Retail Week and Modern Healthcare magazines.Houston-based Vollmer Public Relations promoted Denisha Raulston to management supervisor and Barry Clifford to account executive. Raulston, formerly account supervisor at the agency, will work with the Sabre Interactive, Weider Nutrition Group and Riviana Foods accounts. Clifford moves up from assistant account executive and will join Raulston on the Weider and Riviana Foods business, as well as assignments for client Weight Watchers of South Texas.Elizabeth Tindall joined the staff of Steve Barnhill & Co. in Houston as account supervisor overseeing the the company's Insignia Financial Group, Additech, A&E Products and Varco International accounts. Tindall will also be involved in new business development. She previously was an account executive with Bates Southwest, also located in Houston.The Beaird Agency, Dallas, promoted both Bucki Rogers and Michelle Dubois. Rogers, a senior art director, moved up to creative department head while former account coordinator Dubois was named account executive.Jill Cantrell was hired as on-line sales manager at Promotional Products Association International, a 6,000-company trade association based in Irving. Cantrell was a marketing consultant with international marketing firm NPD Group, New York.The Bagwell Agency, Dallas, installed Brandon Alvarez-Montgomery as traffic production coordinator. Alvarez-Montgomery joined Bagwell from national wireless retailer Discount Cellular and Paging, located in San Antonio, where he served as director of marketing and promotion.Doug Jarvie was elevated from president to chief executive officer at Dallas-based Universal Sports America, a new company formed through the merger of Streetball Partners International (SPI) of Dallas and the University Division of Host Communications in Lexington, Ky. Universal Sports America operates as the holding company for Streetball Partners International, the grass-roots sports marketing arm of NBC Sports.Uniden America Corp. recently appointed John Harris as the company's new vice president of marketing. Harris previously served as vice president of sales and marketing for Canadian electronics distributor AVS Technologies and also spent 10 years with Mitsubishi Electronics.LOUISIANAEric Morgan has moved to Fitzgerald Advertising, New Orleans, as media buyer after serving as director of planning and placement for another New Orleans shop. Morgan will serve Fitzgerald clients in the food and retail industries.Community Coffee Co. in Baton Rouge assigned Kevin Stevenson to its newly created vice president of marketing position. Stevenson arrived from Fruit of the Loom Co. in Bowling Green, Ky., where he served as executive vice president of marketing.NEW MEXICODuval Publications, Albuquerque, hired Daniel Kelley and Donald Lobato as account executives. Kelley has been a business owner in New Mexico and has worked in the hotel business in catering and convention services in Albuquerque, El Paso, Texas, and Durango, Colo.
