Jon Dobbin joined Grey Global Group's MediaCom as vice president and group account director. His primary responsibility will be managing several brands for the Guinness/UDV account, including Guinness beer and spirits brands such as Baileys, Smirnoff, and Jose Cuervo. Dobbin, who most recently served as associate media director at WPP Group's Mediaedge:CIA, brings 15 years of experience to Me dia Com, having also worked at the former Grace & Roths child in New York, Fallon New York, and the former Dewitt Media. He is based in New York.

D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles appointed Steven Palos director of Marketing Services, Asia-Pacific, a newly created position. He will report to both Wendy Riches, president of D'Arcy Marketing Services Group, who is based in New York, and Garry Titterton, president and CEO of D'Arcy Asia-Pacific, who is based in Hong Kong. Palos, whose appointment is effective immediately, most re cently was managing director at OgilvyOne Malaysia. He is based in D'Arcy's Singapore office.

Oasis in New York hired Jim Firestone as director of account planning. He will head all strategic planning efforts for the agency's clients, such as Toyota Motor North America, Toyota Motor Sales and Sharp Electronics. Firestone previously worked as vice president, senior account planner at Deutsch in New York. In addition, Oasis named Madeline Masarof assistant media director, a newly cre ated position. She will work on media buying and planning for all the shop's accounts, including Toyota Motor North America and Sharp Electronics. Masarof most recently was at Foote, Cone & Belding New York, where she was a media supervisor, working on accounts such as Kraft, Dole and Chase. Oasis is a full- service agency that operates as an independent subsidiary of Dentsu Business Development Group.

Interference named Michael D'Alessio director of business development and strategy. Prior to joining the New York-based company, he served as a management supervisor at Wunderman New York, where he led the team on the Citi bank Retail Bank Merchandising account, as well as other Citibank endeavors.

Tim Andree joined the National Basketball Association as senior vice president of communications, effective today. He previously was vice president of corporate communications at BASF Corp. Andree is based in the NBA's New York office.

DornaUSA appointed John Libro director of sales and marketing. Before joining the New York-based company, he served as founder of Vision Pro, a Hoboken, N.J.-based sports and entertainment company.

Thomas Brady was named vice president, new business at Shaw & Todd in New York. He most recently was sales account executive at Com/ Peripherals in Great Neck.

PENNSYLVANIA

Robin Havrilla was promoted to the dual position of chief operating officer and general manager at HavrillaCorrigan in Lancaster. She previously was account supervisor. Hav rilla will oversee the agen cy's move to its new office at 135 N. Duke St. this month, as well as handle human resources, organize seminars and training, oversee events, and supervise daily operations, among other duties. In addition, HavrillaCorrigan promoted two other employees. Martha Wiley was elevated to office man ager; she previously worked as accounting manager. Mary Chapman was promoted to project coordinator; she previously served as an administrative assistant at the agency.
