A COLORADO Foote, Cone & Belding, Denver, promoted Amber Vahling to assistant account executive on the Taco Bell field team account. Tom Costner joined Brozena Schaller Menaker & Ripley as account supervisor. He comes to the Denver-based agency from The Hibbert Group. GD&A Advertising & Public Relations hired Eric Trujillo as art director from Factory Design Labs in Denver, where he was vice president. The Denver agency also hired Marya Mista as public relations account manager and promoted Nicole Evans to public relations account manager. A HAWAII Milici Valenti Ng Pack, Honolulu, promoted Susan Moss to director of FireFly, its new integrated marketing company. Eddie Fan was promoted to interactive division manager, and Kara Murayama was hired as a division manager for the unit. A IDAHO Boise-based Oliver, Russell & Associates hired Nancy Spittle as a public relations manager. She will be media director for the Women's Challenge account. Cathy Wimmers joined Hanna & Associates, Coeur d'Alene, as a copywriter. The agency also hired Tamara Hartman as a production artist. A NEVADA Las Vegas-based Advertising & Marketing Solutions named Becky Watson creative director. She was previously assistant director of the marketing and community relations department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. A NORTHERN CALIFORNIA Thielen and Associates, Fresno, added Rhonda Grove as an account coordinator. San Rafael-based 360 Group appointed Bruce Thomas print production manager in the strategic and creative services group. Previously he served as a production director at Age Wave Impact and Age Wave Communications. DesignTribe, San Francisco, hired Bonnie Eaton as public relations director. She was public relations director at The Jones Agency in Palm Springs prior to her appointment. OpenTable.com, a San Francisco-based restaurant reservation network, appointed Andrew England vice president, marketing. Anuja Joshi joined Rathje Chadwick & Co., San Francisco, as assistant account manager. She previously served as new-business coordinator at Campbell Mithun Esty in Minneapolis. San Francisco-based Egreetings.com named Mimi Sells senior director of corporate communications. Most recently, she was director of public relations at IDG Books Worldwide. Samantha Harman joined Highway One as studio manager from Publicis & Hal Riney, where she was a senior electronic production artist. Daria Pavliger joined the San Francisco agency as traffic supervisor. She previously held the same post at Resource Marketing. San Francisco-based Lewis & Partners named Tina Ruggiero executive vice president, general manager of its new office in New York. She previously was an account supervisor at The Food Group, New York. A OREGON Tony Valentine was named president and general manager of Portland's Exhibitgroup/Giltspur's full-service exhibition design and fabrication facilities, serving Portland and Seattle. A SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Elie Dekel was promoted to president of Saban Consumer Products and Promotions, Los Angeles. He will oversee all aspects of the company's licensing, promotions and retail development businesses, as well as marketing and promotion of all of its consumer products brands. Univision Communications, Los Angeles, named Adam Stewart vice president, sales development and marketing, for the Western region of Univision. He was formerly an account executive for Discovery Communications. Geoffrey Kanter was named president of Market Place Media, Santa Barbara. Previously he served as president and CEO of Cover Concepts Marketing Services. Propaganda Films, Toluca Lake, named Rick Hess president. He most recently served as the head of production at Phoenix Pictures. Wunderman Cato Johnson, a member of the Y&R companies, hired Michael Krause as associate creative director. Prior to joining the Irvine agency, he was a senior art director with The Integer Group in Lakewood, Colo. Matthew Spence was named senior account executive at Los Angeles-based Envision. He most recently served as director of corporate development for the Los Angeles Clippers of the NBA. Susanne Carlson was appointed director of business development and planning for BDS Marketing. She originally joined the Irvine firm as an account supervisor. Morgan Marketing & Public Relations hired Farrah Voll as an account coordinator. Pearson Television, Santa Monica, promoted Gregory Calvosa to director, worldwide marketing. He will be based in the company's Santa Monica office. Marshall Advertising & Design has added three new staff members on its Yamaha Motor Corp. account. Mark Wagner joined the Newport Beach agency as media supervisor. He previously served as senior media planner at DDB Dallas. John Lee and Michelle Kawasaki were hired as assistant media planners. Elliot Light, president and founder of Newport Beach's L&A Marketing and Advertising, was elected to the executive board of the Marketing Resource Network. Orange County printer Gardener Lithograph named Lincoln Gardner CEO and Kevin Broady president and COO. Michael Mark, president and creative director at San Diego agency Matthews/Mark, was named to the San Diego Children's Museum board of directors. Bobit Publishing Co., Torrance, named Ed Noonan national sales manager of F & I Management and Technology and Chris Ballard national sales manager of Auto Rental News. Jonathan Dupuis was promoted to assistant account executive at Phillips-Ramsey Advertising & Design in San Diego. Laura Molen was named senior vice president, sales and strategic planning, at Paramount Advertiser Services, Hollywood. Gary Miller was named senior director of motion picture and television music, clearance and licensing for Universal Music Publishing Group, Los Angeles. The Sutherland Agency, La Jolla, appointed Pamela Manno art director and Melissa Stein assistant account executive. Susan Spencer Grana was appointed vice president, promotions, for Universal Studios Hollywood. She returns to the company from Fox Consumer Products, where she was executive director, national promotions, feature films and advertising. David Miller was promoted to vice president, advertising and creative services, at the Universal City company. Holly Wallace was named executive director, creative services, for Universal Studios Home Video, Universal City. She previously was director of creative advertising at Warner Home Video. People magazine hired sales representatives Rodolfo Balderrama, handling automotive clients and development of new business, and Mimi Gamityan, handling entertainment and packaged goods accounts. Both are based in Los Angeles. Piazzo of Santa Ana Heights hired graphic designer Wayne Yong to help accommodate the increasing workload at the agency, which mainly handles health-related and real estate accounts. A Band Apart, Los Angeles, signed director Nico Beyer. He will helm TV spots and music videos for A Band Apart Commercials and A Band Apart Music Videos, while continuing to direct spots through his Berlin-based company Plastik. Foote, Cone & Belding's Santa Ana office promoted Chase Ramirez to creative director and Roxane Garzon to vice president, associate media director on the Taco Bell field team account. Allsport Photography, Pacific Palisades, named Janey Marks vice president, Olympics and strategic alliances. She will work with the Olympic and MLS sponsors and licensees in handling their creative sports stock photography needs. A UTAH Euro RSCG DSW Partners, Salt Lake City, promoted Casey Jones to senior vice president.
