NEW YORK Ammirati Puris Lintas, New York, named Lou Killeffer managing director of the Americas on its Labatt Breweries account. Killeffer, executive vice president and managing director of account services, will continue to supervise Amtrak, Sara Lee and United Parcel Service business at the agency. Monica Acevedo was appointed business development manager at Holland Advertising, following a freelance stint at the New York agency. Previously, Acevedo was director of client services at The Big Idea in New York. J. Walter Thompson in New York signed Chris D'Rozario as senior partner and group creative director and Marie Arteca as senior partner and creative manager. Previously, D'Rozario and Arteca held positions at Messner Vetere Berger McNamee Schmetterer and Saatchi & Saatchi, respectively. Neal Gomberg, former creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, joined N.W. Ayer & Partners in New York as executive vice president and group creative director on the U S West account. Foote, Cone & Belding, New York, promoted senior vice president Laird Stiefvater to group management director. FCB also elected three senior vice presidents: senior creative director Tod Brubaker, director of communications Vonda LePage and FCB Direct management director Paul Slovak. Tom McDonnell, associate creative director at Lowe Direct in New York, moved to Doremus Advertising in New York as senior copywriter and associate creative director. Sanna Mattson MacLeod Advertising in Smithtown selected Ursula Dumbauld vice president and media director. Dumbauld is a 14-year veteran of BBDO in New York, where she most recently served as vice president and media planning supervisor. Jackie Mallon assumed the presidency of Harte-Hanks Direct in New York. The Association of National Advertis-ers, New York, assigned four committee chairpersons: advertising management, Robert Desatnick of Campbell Soup Co.; event marketing, Steven Johnston, Nationwide Insurance; advertising financial management, Brad Simmons, Helene Curtis; and corporate communications, John Murray, DuPont. Alex Sakiz, most recently senior vice president and general manager of Bozell Worldwide in Montreal, arrived at Bozell Retail in New York as senior partner, strategic planning. Porter Novelli promoted Sarah Zuercher to senior account executive and Danielle Talamini to account executive. Meredith Halpern, formerly with CNNfn, arrived at Fortune in New York as public affairs manager. Wenner Media in New York designated Robbin Tick Herzberg beauty director of Us magazine. CONNECTICUT MCS Advertising & Production, West Hartford, added Tatiana Machado as an account coordinator. Valerie Di Maria resigned the presidency of GCI Group's New York office to become vice president of corporate public relations and advertising at GE Capital Services, Stamford. NEW JERSEY The Cherenson Group, Livingston, welcomed Martin Fallivene as an art director. Scott Kisch became senior public relations associate at Gillespie, Princeton. PRMC Advertising, Morristown, enlisted Patricia Ruggero as senior account executive, Jatƒ Himsel and Sasha Veksland as junior art directors and Suzanne Izykowski as account coordinator.
