TEXAS Bromley, Aguilar & Associates, San Antonio, hired new public relations director Deborah Charnes Vallejo. Brian Taylor and Jennifer West joined DSS Research, Arlington, as market research analyst and project manager, respectively. West, who will also serve as a liaison between DSS and its Hispanic clients, was a senior assistant for Tarrant County Junior College, Fort Worth. Taylor is a recent graduate of Texas Christian University, also Fort Worth. Tamara Robb, operations services director at StuartBacon in Fort Worth, has been elected to the agency's management committee. Robb joined the company in 1992. Also at the agency, Kelly Burns was appointed public relations manager. Burns has been with Stuart-Bacon since 1996. Stanley Hailey is the new local sales manager for KEGL-FM, Dallas. Hailey was formerly senior account executive at KDGE-FM, also Dallas. In the Dallas office of Miller Freeman, senior vice president Galen Poss was promoted to executive vice president and group president. J. Walter Thompson, Dallas, designated Claudia Lezcano account supervisor for its Domino's Pizza business. Amy Tirk, formerly public relations director for Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Cincinnati, joined Bates Southwest, Houston, as public relations account executive. Tirk will handle media relations and special events for the GTE Wireless and Belmont Village accounts. Royce Davidson was welcomed by Wheeler Advertising, Arlington, as the company's new business manager. Davidson has recently served as an independent consultant in the surety field. New employees at The Price Communications Group in Lubbock include new business coordinator Blythe Harrell, print media buyer Kristin Kime and public relations account executive Jennifer Burns. In addition, the agency promoted Ashley Price to senior account executive and Scott Dadich to senior designer. Houston-based Rives Carlberg elevated assistant account executive Jennifer Walker to account executive. Walker will work on the agency's Compaq, Houston Chronicle, Metamor and Sheltering Arms advertising accounts. S&C Advertising & Public Relations, San Antonio, installed Traci Burton, a student at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, as its fall intern. Witherspoon & Association, Fort Worth, enlisted Kyle Spaulding as traffic manager. Spaulding held the same post at KWGC Advertising & Design, Dallas, and was previously production manager for the American Paint Horse Association, Fort Worth. Wyndham Hotels & Resorts named Andrew Jordan senior vice president of marketing in Dallas. He was formerly president of sales and marketing for Club Med and a member of Coca-Cola's global marketing team. Copywriter Todd Brashear and art director Joe Zarate joined the staff of Impact Advertising, Irving. Brashear held a senior writing position with Sold-on-Hold Communications and worked at Taylor/Mack Advertising in Fayetteville, Ark. Zarate was an art director for the former Computer City subsidiary of Tandy Corp. in Fort Worth. Candice Casas moved up to assistant account executive at The Powell Group, Dallas. Casas joined the shop in December as account coordinator, handling assignments for clients such as Fina, Foster Grant, NYLCare, Del Frisco restaurant and Blockbuster Video. Video Post & Transfer, Dallas, welcomed animator and designer Eileen Kelley, who has freelanced in the Dallas and Houston markets in recent years. Kelley has completed projects for clients such as Six Flags of Arlington and Deck the Walls. R.J. Kolar Advertising and Marketing, Austin, added two staffers: art director Brian De Los Santos and traffic manager Tara Slaydon. Previously, De Los Santos worked for Leo Burnett in Chicago and Austin agencies SicolaMartin and T3. Slaydon spent the last six years at Communications Specialist Inc., Chas. P. Young Co. and working for the Texas House of Representatives. Gugel Advertising, Dallas, promoted Traci Hazlewood to planning coordinator and Margaret Whitehead to broadcast assistant. The buying firm also tapped media planner Kimberly Sperberg, formerly visual media specialist at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, and traffic assistant Audra Riley, a recent graduate of the University of North Texas, Denton. Thomas Bacon was named senior vice president of planning and marketing for AMR Corp.'s American Eagle in Fort Worth. Bacon, who has been with AMR since 1980, had been vice president of financial analysis and fleet planning. NEW MEXICO Kilmer & Kilmer, Albuquerque, added Vicki Newsom to oversee new account development and public relations. Newsom was a client service representative for Vaughn Wedeen Creative, also Albuquerque. OKLAHOMA IdeaStudio Design Group, Tulsa, hired Dana Barrett as project and design director. Previously, Barrett was a senior designer at Brothers & Co., Tulsa. Jordan Associates, headquartered in Oklahoma City, appointed Allison Carona account coordinator in its Tulsa office. Carona recently worked for Brothers & Co., Tulsa, as account coordinator.
