NEW YORK Ronald Wohlman joined BBDO in New York as senior vice president, creative director. He was previously an associate creative director and copywriter at J. Walter Thompson, also in New York. Wohlman is working on the Snickers account at BBDO. Linda Srere, vice chairman and chief client officer at Young & Rubicam, New York, has been elected to the board of directors of TheStreet.com, an online provider of news and commentary to the financial community. Srere's arrival expands the board to nine members. Burkhardt & Hillman, New York, hired three new creatives: art director J. R. Cope, formerly of DiMassimo Brand Advertising in New York; senior writer Dimitrios Petsas, previously creative director at Ogilvy & Mather in Athens, Greece; and junior writer Ginger Tarrant, a recent graduate of the Atlanta Portfolio Center. Jay Advertising, Rochester, promoted two creative directors, Duane Schweitz and John Brown, to vice presidents. Schweitz was named a creative director, art, at the agency in 1991 after running his own graphic design firm; Brown joined Jay as creative director, copy, from Blair/BBDO, where he was creative director and president. Media Logic, Albany, named Diana Hawkins senior account executive. She had served as an account executive at the agency for two years. Nanette Foster was also appointed as an account supervisor. She has worked at such agencies as Grey Advertising, Lowe & Partners/SMS and Ogilvy & Mather. Gaye Fischetti joined Farmingdale-based 21st Century Marketing as an assistant account executive. She was previously an account manager at Graphic Image in Melville. Calvin Klein Cosmetics, New York, named Marisa Thalberg director, global advertising and production. She was most recently vice president, management supervisor at Revlon, where she oversaw advertising for the Ultima II, fragrance and professional products divisions. Carla Loffredo, senior partner, director of brand communications at J. Walter Thompson, New York, has been elected president of the Advertising Club of New York. She replaces retiring president Steve Farella, executive vice president, director of business development and integrated communications at Jordan McGrath Case & Partners/Euro RSCG, who will continue to serve as president. Three vice presidents were elected: Robert Mate, vice president and publishing director, Meredith Corp.; Paul Cappelli, founder and president, The Ad Store; and Gerald Siano, senior vice president, account director, Young & Rubicam. Other new officers include Renee Simons, treasurer at Chase Manhattan Bank, who was elected treasurer; Ronald Cohen, an account director at D'Arcy Masius Benton & Bowles, appointed young pro president; and Wright Ferguson, group publisher, Adweek Magazines, and Barbara Glasser, vice president, brand advertising, Merrill Lynch, who were both named directors. The Long Island Advertising Club, Port Washington, elected its officers through the year 2000. Michael Rosen, vice president, creative, Cooper Leder, was named vice president, administration; Angela Odorfer, New York area sales manager, Media Networks, will serve as vice president, membership; Michael DeLuise, vice president, university relations, Hofstra University, was appointed vice president, communications; Bill Edwards, vice president, general manager, Chancellor Communications, was elected vice president, activities; Ernie Canadeo, president, EGC Media, was named treasurer; and Wally Reed, senior vice president, operations, Crown Advertising, will serve as secretary. Brian Kennedy was promoted to Northwest advertising sales manager at Inc. He was previously the magazine's regional advertising sales manager in New York. He will now be based at Inc.'s San Francisco office. Parade in New York has named Jack Griffin senior vice president of sales and marketing. He was previously vice president of marketing at the Meredith Broadcasting Group. NEW JERSEY Englewood-based Henschel-Steinau added Jennifer Horsford to its sales group. She was formerly an associate account manager at Trans World Marketing. Integrated Communications added three staffers and promoted four at its Lawrenceville office. Financial director James Koval joined the firm from private consulting, Ruth Callahan was hired as receptionist and vice president, management supervisor Scott Griesler arrived at Integrated division Interlink Healthcare Communications from Toltzis Communications. Carol Lewis was promoted to senior medical writer from medical writer; Deborah Bullis moved up to accountant from staff accountant; Richard Minoff advanced to senior vice president, client services from vice president, director, account services; and Erika March was elevated to senior project manager from project manager. Parsippany-based CommonHealth unit The Conectics Group added one staffer and promoted two. Freda Shevitz was named media supervisor after serving as a media director at P. C. Fiore and Associates. Tracey Sears moved up to vice president, media director, professional, and Jessica Rothman advanced to senior media planner. Stephen Downs joined Dudnyk Healthcare in Lambertville as vice president, general manager after handling co-promotional and licensing activities for such companies as Upjohn, Forest Laboratories and Dai Nippon Pharmaceuticals. George Valva, chairman and chief executive officer of Dugan Valva Contess in Morristown, has reorganized the agency into three new divisions: DVC Communications (promotion and marketing communications); DVC ActiveCare (healthcare) and DVCi Technologies (Web development and information technology). Group president Sue Furlong will direct the communications and healthcare divisions while group president Paul Ivans will head the technology areas. Green Eggz No Ham, Turnersville, added two marketing staffers from the Art Institute of Philadelphia. Dennis Levy was named vice president, sales and marketing, and Michael Santaspirt was appointed vice president, director of creative services. Levy was previously director of the industrial and interior design departments at the Art Institute and Sataspirt served as director of its school of design. PENNSYLVANIA Foote, Cone & Belding in Philadelphia added assistant media planner Carolyn Harfman to its Taco Bell field team. At Godfrey Advertising, Lancaster, Sue Rugh joined as resource manager from Strine Printing, where she was a customer service representative. Gale DeCoster was named senior designer after serving as president and creative director at Art Machine. Collegeville Advertising Associates, a Collegeville-based division of Saatchi & Saatchi, named Laureen Memis an account supervisor; she had been a senior account executive at Ted Thomas Associates. Kutztown University graduate Erin Reed was appointed junior art director. Heather Neefe was also promoted to senior account executive from account executive. The Weightman Group, Philadelphia, named Jennifer Corey a public relations account manager; she had been with the Union League of Philadelphia. Dave Foley was hired as art director after freelancing for area shops. Heather Leake was named an account manager; she was previously at Tierney & Partners in Philadelphia. Joanne Sireci joined the agency as senior media manager from Arnold Communications in Wayne. Padmini Sharma was also appointed brand planner after serving as an account executive at Breeze Advertising in India.
