Bozell Direct, New York, has elevated both Michael Kaplan and Tom Murray to partner, account services from management representative. Cathy Barto Meyer joined Earle Palmer Brown, New York, as partner and general manager, public relations. Prior to joining EPB, she owned and operated her own firm, CB Communications. Jonathan Recht joined Mezzina/ Brown, New York, as senior vice president, director of e-business services. He was most recently president of I-3 Telecom. Trone Advertising, New York, tapped David Simpson as executive vice president. He had been senior vice president, director of marketing at CMG Communications. Tom Carpenter joined 141 Interactive, New York, as vice president, chief technical officer. He was most recently technical lead on e-commerce projects at USWeb. Corporate and brand identity firm Lippincott & Margulies, New York, has promoted both Kathleen Dolan and Bettina Reynertson to partner from senior associate. Siegel and Gale, a New York-based branding shop, hired Laurence Ackerman as senior vice president, senior consultant in the brand consulting group. He comes from Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide in New York, where he served as a managing director. Eric Mower and Associates, Buffalo, promoted Claudia Bunny to account executive from assistant account executive. Separately, Michael Slade, human resources director at EMA's Syracuse office, was appointed to a one-year term on the American Association of Advertising Agencies' human resources management committee, which makes policy recommendations to the 4A's board of directors. Media Logic, Albany, hired Thomas Gebauer as a multimedia programmer. Prior to joining the shop, he was a computer programmer and analyst at Metropolitan Life Insurance. Adsgallery.com, a Richmond Hill, Ontario-based online directory of ad portfolios, named executives from seven New York shops to its advisory board: Howard Coale, co-creative director, Interactive8; Greg Contreras, manager, business development, The Lord Group; Robin Danielson, president, Mad Dogs & Englishmen; Adam Kempler, director, strategic development, O Interactive; Evan Lewis, vice president, APL Digital; Dean Lubnick, director, new media services, Hampel/Stefanides; and Marissa Thompson, vice president, partner, Della Femina/Jeary and Partners. Also appointed was Robyn Kossoff, creative director at Modem Media.Poppe Tyson in Westport, Conn. Lee Hunt Associates, New York, added Carlos Ferreyros as creative director, Latin America, a new position. He previously ran his own firm, Cyclops. Cooper Direct, New York, hired Mark Galliher as an account manager. He joins the agency from McCann Relationship Marketing, where he was an account executive. Spectacolor Communications in New York promoted one staffer and hired three: Barry Kula was elevated to vice president, sales and marketing from director, sales and marketing; Jack Gallagher was named director of specialized marketing; Michael Steinberg was appointed account executive; and Larry Wolfson signed on as director of specialized marketing. NEW JERSEY Mark Kapsky joined Einson Freeman in Paramus as group account director, responsible for leading both the firm's partnership division and its Nestlƒ team. He was previously vice president, director of client services for 141 USA. DKB and Partners, Morristown, promoted Jennifer Kline to senior account executive, public relations. She had been an account executive. PENNSYLVANIA Three staffers have joined SFGT Advertising in Philadelphia. Mary Robinson arrived as an account supervisor; she previously held that title at Gillespie Advertising. Jeffrey Perkins was named production manager; he had worked in production for The Brownstein Group. Also, Andrew Wood was appointed account executive. CONNECTICUT Richard Thibedeau joined Relationship Marketing Group, Fairfield, as vice president, information technology. He was previously a systems analyst for Edwards Super Stores and Giant Food Stores. O'Neal & Prelle in Hartford has hired Joe Campolieta as vice president, marketing. He was a senior marketing strategist at Moore Medical in New Britain.
