DALLAS FastSigns International has hired NextMedia and Moroch Partners to handle national media buying and placement services for the U.S. and Canada, the agencies said.

Moroch will also pursue marketing services for the co-op portion of FastSigns' 450 U.S. and Canadian locations, the agency said.

Moroch and NextMedia operate as media-buying partners who share space in Moroch's Dallas headquarters.

Previously, the national media services were handled by TLP Dallas. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

The FastSigns work validates the decision to combine forces with Moroch last summer, said NextMedia principal Mike Ritzman.

"It fits our strength of being able to better service mid-market clients and extends our experience in the business-to-business arena," Ritzman said. "Additionally, it reinforces the reason why we formed an alliance with Moroch Partners

Drue Townsend, svp, FastSigns national advertising council, said the sign design and production franchisor chose NextMedia and Moroch based on the agency alliance's reputation and franchise group experience.

Founded in 1985, FastSigns has expanded to almost 450 locations in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Australia.

Moroch Partners is a 23-year-old full-service advertising agency with 27 branch offices throughout the U.S. and Canada. Clients include McDonald's, Midas, Mrs. Baird's, Tia Rosa, Uniden, the U.S. Army, Walt Disney, Twentieth Century Fox, New Line Cinema, Sony, DFW International Airport, Al Dia and Mattress Giant.

NextMedia was founded in 1997. Other national clients include Administaff, Overhead Door/Genie and TV and print for Mission Pharmacal on the Citracal and Thera-Gesic brands.
