The Missouri State Lottery is evaluating five agencies that are competing for its $7 million advertising account.
The agencies responded to a request for proposals for the business, said Alan Barnes, the general services manager for the lottery. In order to be invited, shops needed to be based in Missouri, with at least $12 million in annual billings and at least one account billing in excess of $3 million, he said.
Of the 22 shops that met those criteria, only five responded: incumbent Bernstein-Rein Advertising, Valentine Radford Communications and Barkley & Evergreen, all in Kansas City, Mo; and Louis London and Kupper Parker Communications in St.
