CHICAGO Miller Brewing has named former Coca-Cola executive Tom Long evp and chief marketing officer.

Long, 46, takes over from Bob Mikulay, 53, who Miller said is retiring. Mikulay has been with Miller since October 2002 and had been with the brewery’s former parent, Philip Morris, since 1975.

Mikulay is leaving the Milwaukee brewery tomorrow, and Long starts on July 1. Miller board member Charlie Frenette, also a former Coke executive, will serve as interim CMO until Long’s arrival, the brewery said.
