CHICAGO The Special Olympics Michigan chapter has enlisted John Bailey & Associates to assist with its public relations efforts.
The Troy, Mich., shop will help guide the organization's overall strategic development and create a higher level of awareness throughout the state, according to agency president John Bailey.
"Special Olympics is a wonderful organization that annually supports more than 12,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities," Bailey said in a statement. "In addition to strategic communications counsel, we want to focus on benefits for SOMI sponsors."
The organization provides training and opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to compete in statewide Special Olympics events. Billings for the assignment were not disclosed.
