NEW YORK — Mitch Burg, president of WPP Group’s Mediaedge: CIA US, is leaving the company at the end of the month to join Broadstreet Entertainment, a division of the IDT Corporation, sources said.

Burg was one of the founders of the company, which grew out of the media department of N.W. Ayer & Parters and was one of the first media entities to be unbundled.

Burg and company officials were not available for comment.

In a memo circulated around the company, Charles Courtier, Mediaedge: CIA’s chief executive said that Burg’s decision had been based on the feeling that he “accomplished everything that he can with our company and has agreed to aid the company in an orderly transition through to the end of February.”
