ATLANTA Goody’s Family Clothing has awarded its media buying business to Media Solutions after a review, the agency said.

Billings were not disclosed, but the company spent $22 million on advertising last year, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus. Other sources estimate the business is worth more than $40 million.

The incumbent was MarketPower Media, an independent shop in San Antonio that bought the company’s broadcast media, and NSA in Atlanta, which bought print advertising.

Goody’s asked at least six shops to present credentials in June.
