NEW YORK Mediaedge:cia has won the estimated $20 million planning and buying account for Blockbuster in the U.K., the home video chain has confirmed.
WPP Group’s MEC beat out incumbent Walker Media, which is 75 percent owned by M&C Saatchi, in a two-way shootout.
This is the second win in as many days for MEC in that market, following its victory in the $75 million Danone media review [Adweek Online, Oct. 23].
MEC will work with Blockbuster to develop the company’s marketing plan in the U.K.,
