CHICAGO Former Gap executive Jeff Jones is joining Havas’ McKinney as president, the agency confirmed.
Jones succeeds Brad Brinegar in the post, though Brinegar will remain chief executive officer and add the title of chairman.
“I’ve been thinking about recruiting for this job for some time,” Brinegar said. “But I’ve got a really tight team and was conscious that finding the right person was going to be an issue. Jeff is the right person.”
Brinegar cited Jones’ experience on both the client and agency side of the business, as well as an “entrepreneurial spirit” that made him the right selection.
