NEW YORK Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson has promoted Stephen Whyte from client services director of McCann Erickson EMEA to CEO of its London office, the agency said.
Whyte will replace Chris Hunton, who resigned. The new appointment takes effect May 1.
Whyte will continue to be based in London and will report to McCann Erickson WorldGroup U.K. chairman Rupert Howell, who said in a statement, “I am sad that Chris decided he wanted to leave, but delighted to have someone of Stephen’s caliber on hand to replace him.
