Mccann-Erickson Names Altschuler Business Development Director

NEW YORK -- Marjorie Altschuler has been promoted to director of business development at McCann-Erickson WorldGroup/North America and appointed to a seat on its board.

Altschuler had been new business director at McCann-Erickson New York and North America. No immediate replacement has been determined.

Under Altschuler, the New York agency and its other offices in North America have brought in record new business growth of over $2 billion over the past three years.

In her new role, she continues to report to Mark Gault, regional director for McCann North America. Altschuler will also continue to develop North American new business opportunities and create synergies for all WorldGroup companies, which include McCann Relationship Marketing, Zentropy Partners, Momentum, FutureBrand and Torre Lazur McCann Healthcare Worldwide.

Altschuler joined McCann-Erickson New York in 1994 as an svp in charge of new business. In 1997 she was promoted to evp and named new business director for McCann's North American region. Her 18-year career includes significant experience in strategic planning, account management and new business development. Prior to joining McCann she was with J. Walter Thompson, and earlier with Citibank and FCB in New York.
