SAN FRANCISCO -- Online dating service Match.com has purchased Valentine's Day advertising on CBS MarketWatch.com, the financial news site said today. The budget for the one-day campaign was not disclosed.
Included in the campaign, created in-house by Match.com, is an introductory message. The message, in the form of a 5-8 second Match.com sponsorship page, appears before the CBS MarketWatch.com home page fully loads.
The intro-message was created in Flash and carries the tagline "Match.com: Get a love life you can brag about." It is targeted at the male audience.
After the rich media spot runs, Match.com ads will remain in the header and sidebar portions of the CBS MarketWatch.com home page all day. Repeat visitors to the site on Valentine's Day will only see the rich media ad on the first visit.
