If people feel they lack free time, maybe it's because they fritter much of it away. Case in point: 38 percent of adults play games on a computer or electronic gaming console, finds an Associated Press/America On-line/Ipsos Public Affairs poll. Of those who do so, one in five devote at least six hours a week to it. They spend lots of money on it, too. While 26 percent of those who play such games said they spent nothing on them in the past year (including software, online charges, consoles, etc.), 28 percent spent at least $200, including the 12 percent who shelled out over $500. Nine percent said it's very likely someone in their household will buy a game console during the holiday season.
