Itself Off the List For Pen Maker
BOSTON--Margeotes/Fertitta
+ Partners has withdrawn from the review for the $7 million advertising account of A.T. Cross, sources said.
The New York agency was a finalist along with Bates USA, New York, and Carmichael/Lynch of Minneapolis. The competition is expected to conclude this month with Bates and Carmichael making final creative presentations to Cross officials at the pen maker's Lincoln, R.I., headquarters. It is unlikely Margeotes will be replaced by another contender. Skip Pile of Pile and Co., Boston, which is overseeing the process, declined comment.
Cross does not have an agency of record. Pagano Schenck & Kay, Boston, and Ellenson Group, New York, most recently handled media and creative chores, respectively.
