ATLANTA–Retail branding specialist Marc USA/Miami outscored the competition to win the advertising account of the University of Miami’s athletic department.
The shop was named agency for the Hurricanes after a review that included undisclosed local rivals.
“Marc USA will help point us in a more strategic direction,” said Chris Prindiville, assistant athletic director for marketing. “The attack is back.”
Miami, renowned for its football program, wants to build attendance and recognition for its lower-profile baseball and basketball squads.
“There is already a strong brand identity,” said agency president Evan Contorakes. “Our primary job is to build that awareness.”
