NEW YORK PepsiCo said it is enlisting baseball players Alex Rodriguez and Vladimir Guerrero to pitch its flagship brand in two television spots and point-of-purchase materials.

Omnicom Group’s BBDO in New York is the longtime agency for the brand and created the work, which is expected to break in May, a Pepsi representative said.

In a statement, Rodriguez, who plays third base for the New York Yankees, said, “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Pepsi family this year, and look forward to working with them for many years to come.
