NEW YORK Independent Eric Mower & Associates has been hired by luxury real estate developer Infinity Partners for advertising, public relations and interactive chores, the agency said today.

The account will be handled by EMA's office in Charlotte, N.C., and overall annual ad spending could reach $10 million, the shop said.

EMA's first assignment is to provide a comprehensive marketing communications campaign for The Woods in Weddington, N.C., a residential development 15 miles south of Charlotte that features large country retreat-style home sites, wooded terrain and premium amenities.

Ads for the development will appear in publications such as the Charlotte Observer, Charlotte Magazine and in regional editions of magazines such as The New Yorker. Special events, direct marketing and PR outreach—all aimed at homebuyers with a net worth exceeding $1 million—are also in the mix.

"This win is important for EMA because it solidifies our position as a leading agency for real estate and destination marketing," an agency representative said.

EMA is a marketing communications agency with specialized expertise in consumer advertising, brand promotion, business-to-business marketing and public relations and public affairs. The shop employs more than 200 staffers and claims billings of nearly $200 million.
