NEW YORK Lowe’s, which yesterday named semifinalists in the review of its $315 million ad account, on Wednesday said Dale Pond, its svp of merchandising and marketing, would retire this month.

Pond, 59, will leave the company, effective June 30, after 12 years at the Mooresville, N.C.-based home-improvement chain.

Larry Stone, 56, a 35-year Lowe’s veteran, will succeed Pond. He is svp of operations.
