Jones, Milkins Lead Ad 2 in Fort Lauderdale

ATLANTA Ad 2 of Greater Fort Lauderdale, a professional organization that represents people in the communications industry under the age of 33, has elected a new president and vice president, the group said.

Brian Jones will serve as the Florida group's president for the next year. He is an assistant account executive at Zimmerman & Partners Advertising, a Fort Lauderdale Omnicom Group shop. He has been with the agency for two years and works on its Papa John's pizza and BankAtlantic accounts. He will direct board members and supervise special programs initiated by the organization's nine committees.

Valerie Milkins, the new vice president, is a public relations account manager at Starmark International in Fort Lauderdale. She will direct all publicity and communications for the organization and act as a liaison among the nine committees.

The American Advertising Federation established Ad 2 in 1973 to support younger professionals. Currently, there are 15 Ad 2 clubs in the nation, including four in Florida. The Fort Lauderdale club was formed in August 2003.
