NEW YORK Interpublic Group of Cos. on Tuesday reported a net loss of $327.1 million for the third quarter, due chiefly to charges related to company restructuring, shareholder lawsuits and the declining value of IPG’s Octagon sports marketing arm, the holding company said.

In terms of earnings per share, the loss amounted to 85 cents. The loss would have been greater if not for an $89.1 million gain from the sale of NFO WorldGroup.
