Quite naturally, Young & Rubicam's new TV spot for DuPont SilverStone (shown here) takes place in a kitchen. But a "Do it all" pot with a nonstick surface isn't the only thing getting hot.
Despite plans to eat, a young bride and her husband can't keep their hands off each other, be it breakfast, lunch or dinner.
In one sequence, the wife marvels at oatmeal that her hubby has cooked, only to turn her attention to his lips. In another, she barely gets the lid off a casserole before giving in to the urge.
In a third, a furtive glance is all it takes for "Mrs. Keeley" to sweep away her place setting. "The chemistry there--they were terrific," said co-creative director James Caperimo.
Each scene ends with a close-up of a steamy pot with a popping lid. The 30-second spot breaks next month in 14 markets, including New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. A radio spot also is in the works.
It's not the first time Young & Rubicam has used a couple to sell SilverStone. In last year's spot, a wife leaves her husband and takes everything--including his favorite pan.
