Draft in Talks to Join Coors RosterCHICAGO—DraftWorldwide is in contract talks with Coors Brewing to become the brewer's secondary promotions agency, sources said. Late this summer, Golden, Colo.-based Coors began a search for a shop to work with The Integer Group, Lakewood, Colo., on its $15-20 million promo business. The Tracy Locke Partnership in Dallas and 141 Communicator, Chicago, were among a final group of shops under consideration, sources said. A representative for Chicago-based Draft declined comment. A Coors representative said a final decision has yet to be made. BMW Issues Call to Multicultural AgenciesCHICAGO—BMW of North America has invited incumbent Washington Daniel here to participate in its review for a multicultural advertising agency, the automaker said. The Woodcliff Lake, N.J., company's review is expected to be completed by next March, and will not affect BMW's relationship with lead agency Fallon Minneapolis or regional agencies Publicis in New York and Mendelsohn/Zien, Los Angeles, according to a company representative. BMW's U.S. spending is an estimated $80 million. Billings for the multicultural assignment were not known. Sea World Drops CEA, Turns to DDBDETROIT—Campbell-Ewald's failure to sell a campaign to Sea World led the Busch Entertainment unit to move its $10-15 million account to DDB Chicago, agency officials said. The Warren, Mich., agency won the business in February following a review. DDB handles several other Busch Entertainment properties. Batman Zapped in Upcoming OnStar EffortDETROIT—Campbell-Ewald is working on a new campaign for OnStar that will not employ the Batman theme used in ads for the past two years, according to a representative for the unit of General Motors. TV work, scheduled to break early next year, is intended to give potential OnStar subscribers a better idea of what services are available. The campaign will also include magazine, newspaper, Internet and outdoor media. Troy, Mich.-based OnStar spent about $30 million in 2001, per CMR. Y&R Unveils First Land Rover WorkLOS ANGELES—Land Rover this week is set to break its first holiday effort, which positions the vehicles as a way to escape holiday commercialization. The $9 million campaign is the first from the Y&R Cos. in Irvine, Calif., for the Ford Motor Co. division. One of two 15-second spots introduces the three-door Freelander SE3 , another the five-door Freelander. The ads show hands tearing open holiday packages before cutting to another set of hands unfolding a map on the hood of the Freelander. Ford shifted the $50 million Land Rover business to Y&R from GSD&M in July. Jeep Cuts Deal for Army-Navy GameDETROIT—DaimlerChrysler's Jeep SUV will be the official vehicle of the Army-Navy football game on Dec. 7. This is the first time in the game's 103-year history there has been a presenting partner and an official vehicle, the automaker said. The deal includes automotive-category exclusivity for the CBS broadcast, including eight 30-second spots. Financial terms were not disclosed.
