MMB Makes a Play for AXA Financial

BOSTON—McCarthy Mambro Bertino and TBWA\Chiat\Day last week emerged as finalists for the AXA Financial advertising account, sources said. MMB of Boston and TBWA\C\D, New York, are expected to make final presentations later this week. Client spending through the first 10 months of 2001 was about $15 million, per CMR. Seiter & Miller, New York, has worked for AXA. Agency executives declined comment, and client representatives did not return calls.
