Harris Drury Cohen Lands Almond ResortsATLANTA—Almond Resorts has awarded its advertising account to Harris Drury Cohen. In an extended review, HDC of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., defeated DiNoto Lee in New York and Florida shops The Zimmerman Agency,Kelley Swofford and BVK/McDonald to capture the estimated $3 million business. Plans call for a consumer and trade campaign that will include print, radio, out-of-home and collateral components. The client, which operates a string of resorts, is based in Barbados. VF Brand Solutions Selects Cole Henderson DrakeATLANTA—Cole Henderson Drake has won the account of VF Brand Solutions. The Atlanta shop bested crosstown rival Sawyer Riley Compton, Henderson Advertising in Greenville, S.C., Work in Richmond, Va., The Buntin Group in Nashville, Tenn., and Doe-Anderson in Louisville, Ky. Initial work includes trade assignments for Lee, Wrangler Hero and Gitano. Billings are estimated at $1 million. The client is headquartered in Martinsville, Va. Emergence Buys Into Atlanta MarketATLANTA—Emergence has acquired Cadmus Creative Marketing. The Richmond, Va., strategic consultancywill rename the Atlanta branding company EmergenceCreative Labs. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The purchase will add $8 million in revenue to Emergence through CCM clients such as Bloomingdale's, Nordstrom and Russell Athletic. CCM specializes in creative executions, internal communications, branding and direct marketing primarily for business-to-business and retail clients. Chernoff/Silver Breaks CiCi's CampaignATLANTA—Chernoff/Silver's new broadcast campaign for CiCi's Pizza focuses on the fast-food operation'slow-cost, high-quality offerings. The Columbia, S.C., agency is introducing five television and radio spots next month in 18 Southeast and Southwest states. The commercials target both English- and Spanish-speaking consumers. "Our job from the beginning is to prove to customers that they really can get great-tasting pizza for just $3.99," said agency creative director Jeff Tobin. Advertising for the Plano, Texas-based franchiser has been built around the "Fresh taste at a great price" tagline. On the MoveATLANTA—Thompson & Co. has launched Conversant Relationship Marketing. Dave Diersen will head up the direct mail division as president. Andrew Macris has joined the Memphis, Tenn., agency as creative director ...
