DALLAS–Costumed characters including tuba players, wacky tourists, brides and grooms, surfers, and even Elvis have been seen in Houston wearing bright yellow $16 price tags as part of Rives Carlberg’s “Take it to the streets” campaign for the Houston Chronicle. The tags read “$16 can sell anything in Chronicle Classifieds.” With canoeists and recliner chairs set up on downtown street corners, “we’re creating a commotion out there,” said agency president Chuck Carlberg, “and we love it.”
