NEW YORK Hotels.com today confirmed that it was in final negotiations with Omnicom’s TBWA\Chiat\Day here to handle creative duties on its ad account.

TBWA\C\D bested two other finalists to land the business: Publicis’ Saatchi & Saatchi here and WPP’s Young & Rubicam in Chicago, according to sources. Adweek.com first reported the selection on Monday.

TBWA\C\D stood out for its “really solid strategic thinking” and a “smart and enthusiastic team” that included office president Corey Mitchell and executive creative director Gerry Graf, said Vic Walia, senior director of brand marketing at Hotels.com
