NEW YORK — Honda in the U.K. has consolidated its creative advertising account at Wieden + Kennedy.

The London agency takes on the estimated $30 million (U.S.) piece of business in January 2002 as the Japanese automaker ends its 7-year relationship with CDP in London. CDP and The Leith Agency, which handles Honda in parts of Europe, pitched against Wieden for the business.

CDP will continue to handle Honda’s media in the U.K.

The win marks a return to the automotive category for Wieden, which parted ways with Subaru in the U.S.
