Hitachi Data Systems is in the final stages of a review for its estimated $20 million ad account, and is talking primarily to agencies on the West Coast with global capabilities, said sources. A decision could come as early as next week.
A spokesperson for Hitachi Data Systems, Santa Clara, Calif., a division of Hitachi Ltd., Tokyo, confirmed a review is under way, but declined further comment.
Sources said Hitachi Data Systems has been working with about 10 undisclosed shops, and may have already trimmed that list down to three to five finalists.
