Hill, Holliday Wins Red Roof Acct.

SAN FRANCISCO--Hill, Holliday in San Francisco has won the estimated $10 to $15 million Red Roof Inns account, said the agency.

Hill, Holiday bested TBWA/Chiat/Day, Playa del Rey, Calif., Cramer-Krasselt, Chicago, and DeVito/Verdi, New York in the pitch. Red Roof Inns' previous agency, The Richards Group, Dallas, did not participate in the review.

Nancy Hill, president of Hill, Holliday/San Francisco, said, "This is good news for us. For the city it is great news too. We were the only SF agency in the pitch." She noted how any new business in the bay area is good business for the industry in SF overall.

Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, Red Roof has more than 330 properties, primarily in the Southeast, East and Midwest and employs over 6,000 people.
