DALLAS GSD&M won more than a third of the Addy awards presented by the Austin (Texas) Advertising Federation last Friday.
The Austin agency picked up 55 awards, including the best of show in print for its "New York Post Posters" campaign and the best of show in broadcast for its "Sleepy Groves" SBC TV spot.
The shop also earned the judges award for the best broadcast campaign for the "Drive Thru, Preparation and Bed Time" spots it created for CBS Sports. In addition, GSD&M received 22 gold, 16 silver and 14 bronze Addy awards.
Other winners included Austin-based Olive Design, which was presented the best of show interactive award for its "Duck Texas" Web site produced for Tuerff-Davis EnviroMedia and the Texas Department of Health.
Local shops Kolar Advertising and Makos Advertising Marketing & Design also received 18 and 15 Addys, respectively.
The AAF presented more than 150 Addy awards at the ceremony, which was held at the Palmer Events Center and was attended by 750 people.
