'Grrr' Wins Top Prize at One Show

NEW YORK Honda U.K.'s animated "Grrr," by Wieden + Kennedy in London, won best in show at the 30th annual One Show last night during a ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center here.

At the separate Interactive Show, which also took place last night, top winners included Burger King, which was named the One Show Interactive Client of the Year, and Crispin Porter + Bogusky, which won best in show interactive for its "Subservient Chicken" Web efforts.

A total of 95 awards were presented at the main One Show: 27 gold, 40 silver and 28 bronze. TBWA won the most awards, 14, including three golds on behalf of its Adidas work. Two golds recognized TBWA San Francisco's TV spots; the third was for a billboard by the Tokyo office featuring athletes running up the side of a building. (TBWA shares the account with 180 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.)

Ogilvy & Mather won nine awards, including three gold, for viral ads on behalf of the Ford Fiesta via its London office, a newspaper ad for the Anglican Welfare Council by its Singapore staff, and an OroVerde Rainforest Foundation ad by O&M in Frankfurt, Germany.

DDB took home eight awards, including two golds for its BC SPCA work by the Vancouver staff and for its Ameriquest campaign created by the Venice, Calif., office.
