NEW YORK Haydn Morris has joined Grey Global Group's G2 Worldwide as a partner, the agency said.

Morris has been a freelance art director in Italy since 2002, the year he left WPP Group's Young & Rubicam in Auckland, New Zealand, where he was a co-creative director.

A Briton, Morris, who will be based in G2's New York headquarters, will report to G2 Worldwide creative director Andrew Kibble.

In a statement, G2 president Steven Gilliatt said, "Haydn's exceptional advertising background and international expertise add depth and dimension to our ability to deliver best-in-class integrated marketing programs for our global clients."

G2 opened in January 2000 and specializes in brand identity and development. Its clients include BellSouth, GlaxoSmithKline and Kmart.

Morris, 44, has also worked at Omnicom Group's BMP DDB in London, Interpublic Group's McCann-Erickson in Rome and Publicis Groupe's Saatchi & Saatchi in Auckland. From 1992 to 1998 he had his own agency in Rome, Haydn Morris Advertising. Clients included McDonald's and Bulgari.

In a statement, Morris said, "G2 Worldwide is widely recognized as an aggressive and innovative industry leader, and I was extremely impressed by the level of creative solutions they produce for an extensive portfolio of cross-industry clients."
