Gray, Kirk/VanSant is suing former client Choice International Hotels for breach of contract.

In a lawsuit filed in Baltimore City Circuit Court, the agency alleges that the Silver Spring, Md.-based hotel chain reneged on a written agreement to pay $322,000 in extended media-buying and production fees, after Gray, Kirk agreed to drop out of an account review that began last winter.

Choice eventually awarded its estimated $40 million business to Arnold, a blow to the Baltimore shop.
