Gearon Goes to Bat for Papa Gino's

BOSTON Gearon Hoffman said it has launched ads supporting a "Fenway Faithful" summer promotion for restaurant chain Papa Gino's.

The effort touts a series of four Red Sox posters available with Fenway Faithful meals at Papa Gino's locations. Sox slugger David Ortiz appears in one of the posters and his voice is used in a quartet of radio spots. Freestanding inserts and in-store materials support the promotion, available in all 170 New England Papa Gino's stores.

The promotion involves a meal hat and a small or large cheese pizza, combined with a small or large one-topping pizza for a special price. (Papa Gino's is the official pizza sponsor of the Boston Red Sox.)

The client in Dedham, Mass., spends $2-3 million annually on ads. Boston-based independent Gearon Hoffman in March unveiled TV spots supporting the client's "Big Cheese Meal Deal."
