CHICAGO BBDO Detroit chairman and CEO Mike Vogel is retiring, and the shop is bringing in Joe Garcia as president of the agency effective today, according to the shop.
Vogel, 57, will remain at that agency for the next three months to help manage Garcia’s transition. In addition, Pete Swiecicki, 45, the shop’s CFO has been promoted to chief operating officer of the Omnicom Group agency. The chairman and CEO position will remain unfilled for the time being, according to an agency representative.
