Former Coke Exec Joins Miller

Miller Brewing named former Coca-Cola exec Tom Long evp and chief marketing officer. Long, 46, takes over from Bob Mikulay, 53, whom Miller said is retiring. Mikulay has been with Miller since October 2002 and had been with the brewery’s former parent, Philip Morris, since 1975. Long starts on July 1. Miller board member Charlie Frenette, also a former Coke exec, will serve as interim CMO until Long’s arrival. Miller Brewing spent about $250 million on ads last year, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
