No Speed Bumps in Web Playground Race
ATLANTA–Sandbox.com, an online provider of interactive sports and financial games, has launched a fast-track review for an agency to handle its $15-20 million account.
The Fairfax, Va.-based company is seeking a shop with strong brand-building experience, preferably in the New York or Washington, D.C., areas, said Sandbox.com marketing manager Mike Sweeney. A winner is expected to be chosen by Nov. 1.
The client has had conversations with three agencies and wants to “speak with about 10,” Sweeney said, before narrowing the list to three finalists who will receive a pitch assignment.
“If we like the media department someplace and the creative elsewhere, we’ll consider [separate shops],” Sweeney said.
Media will include online, print, radio and outdoor beginning in first-quarter 2000.
